Cathie Black talks about Power, Passion, Attitude, Leadership and more - all the stuff the makes a woman successful in life and in business. She heads Hearst Magazines, publishers of top magazines like O, The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Good Housekeeping, and Redbook. The book is well-written, is a fairly easy to read and gives women a wealth of good sense information – some of it gained through making mistakes.
For example, women are often afraid to take risks at work. She says, “The trick is to think about risk in the right way and use it to your advantage. Most people see taking risks as opening themselves up to unnecessary, maybe even dangerous, chance. The truth is, avoiding risk won’t keep you safe, nor will it guarantee a smooth ride at work or in life.”
