Happy Hour Follow-Up

On yesterday’s radio show I talked about Grace Slick being a floor model. I didn’t know what they was…but Karen, a Happy Hour Listener did know and called into the show.
A floor model was someone who walked around the store wearing clothes with price tags. The floor model’s job was to model clothes, chat with people and entice them to go to the department that had the dress or jewelry or shoes they liked. Karen said she saw them when she lived in Pittsburgh. I don’t think they were around when I was shopping, but they were around when Grace Slick was still dreaming the success she later achieved.
Thanks for the info Karen!
