Exercise has a slew of powerful benefits that go way beyond losing weight. There’s something about getting your body moving that makes a difference in the way you think. It might be because exercise kicks up your beta-endorphins. Those little things (the endorphins) promote a feeling of well-being and relaxation. And, if you do it with a friend, you get to catch up. It's perfect way to multi-task: get fit, connect and recharge all in one hour.
BTW: studies show that regular walking (walking at least twice a week) reduces the risk of dementia by as much as 40%! From the Lancet Neurology: "Leisure-time physical activity at midlife is associated with a decreased risk of dementia and AD later in life. Regular physical activity may reduce the risk or delay the onset of dementia and AD, especially among genetically susceptible individuals."
Get those walking shoes on and get going!
