Midlife caregiving with Cathy Sikorski

Cathy Sikorski (2)One of the challenges of midlife is caregiving. We’re busy taking care of our kids, our parents, and ourselves; it can be hard to keep up. Sometimes the biggest challenge is knowing what to do, where to turn for information and who won’t rip you off while you’re caregiving.

Attorney and “serial caregiver” Cathy Sikorski is coming to Happy Hour this week and telling you what you need to know to take care of your parents, in-laws and yourself.

Cathy Sikorski has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, eventually limiting her practice to Elder Law issues. Cathy has been the primary caregiver for her grandmother, mother-in-law, great aunt, aunt from Australia, and currently a dear friend who suffered a traumatic brain injury and her brother-in-law who is wheel chair bound from Multiple Sclerosis. Cathy has found that caregiving requires a lot of good information and a rockin' sense of humor, which she posts weekly in her blog "You just have to Laugh...."

What a fabulous and entertaining segment! It’s great to know you’re not alone in the trials and tribulations of the caregiving world. I laughed the whole hour.
